I bought this to see if I would like having a small, more portable loom. I have the full size Ashford inkle loom and absolutely love it. I think maybe if I didn’t know any better then I would like this one more. It’s just very small and fiddly. Not much room to weave in and it’s awkward to sit in my lap like my big one can. I haven’t found a comfortable way to sit with it. It moves around too much. It’s very functional and the concept is good, just too small for me. If I’m going to go through the trouble of warping a loom I want to weave a lot and this doesn’t really allow that.

the Ashford Inklette is a great starter loom. Mine arrived ready to assemble. It only took a few minutes. When the glue dries you need to give it a coat of finishing wax polish. Ashford has a nice product I recommend that you add to your purchase. The loom is sturdy, directions for use are clear. I have zero experience with weaving and was able to figure everything out for a pretty successful first project. The Inklette size is easily transported. I am hooked!

It was a lovely loom but it was too high to fit in my suitcase! Other than that it was a beautiful inkjet loom.

No problems at all with the loom. Easy to put together, came with all the tools needed. Even instructions on how to use. I'm from Canada and purchased for $174.96 CDN. Invoice with the kit read $75 which I realize is in US funds. Found out this was sold by a third party seller, everybody needs to make a buck...except me. Definitely not worth what I paid but it's all about supply and demand I guess.

Great little portable loom. I had to put it together but it really isn’t that hard. I’ve made several bands on it and my only complaint is that it is small and I can’t make long enough bands to trim clothing without having to connect smaller bands. I plan on getting the full size loom soon. The advantage of this one though is that I can put it in a bag and take it with me anywhere

I purchased this to make straps/handles for woven bags I make. It took me a few goes the first time to get it wound and tensioned correctly, but the instructions that come with it are very clear so I had no problems with my second go. It's light and portable but seems robust, so I am very happy with my purchase. It is possible to do complex patterns including letters but have not tried these myself, yet.

I saw this loom in a sewing magazine and it looked fun and reasonably easy to do. I Googled inkle looms and this one had the best reviews for the price (and it was the one featured in the magazine), so I decided to get it.It came in good time, with instructions for how to put together the loom, and how to weave. It also came with a little container of wood glue (way more than you'll need), a shuttle, and sand paper. The directions we clear enough that the little bit of required assembly was quick and easy. The hardest part was waiting the 4 or so hours for the wood glue to dry. I followed the weaving instructions and tried the pattern that came in the little booklet they sent and (other than calling the heddles "leashes"--which makes more sense than "heddles" :)), I made a cool-looking inkle/ribbon in a surprisingly short time! And it was a lot of fun!
