Box containing product arrived destroyed ( see photo ) , a previous return . I went ahead and installed it ( note to the unwary , you need to be a contortionist ). The cable with it's protective bearings and outer shell is stout , it's heavy duty . The lock mechanism is a bit of a concern , it's pretty basic , one little pin ( see photo ) is all that locks the steel U bar onto the steering wheel .. The U bar is totally separate from cable and lock mechanism ( see photo ) . Now that I have locking / unlocking technique down I would say that this is definitely the way to go . Very convenient , EZ to lock and unlock , just unlock and pull the cable aside and out of the way when you're going to go somewhere ..Only two keys , a third would have been appreciated ( safer ) . Plus two stars from my first assessment , I am happy with it .

This steering harness literally is joined up thinking!It works perfectly as illustrated, easy to install and attaches to steering wheel in seconds.Hopefully a good deterrent to would be thieves due to its sturdiness and visual presence in the vehicle.

This is my second one I have purchased. Easy to install and feels very sturdy and hard to break into. There is nothing like it in USA and in my research revealed that this one is not easy to break. Highly recommend.

It came really fast (and I live in Chile, South America), its super well made, the setup is really simple and looks minimalist inside your car, but don't get mistaken, it looks (and it is!) strong enough to discourage the bad guys.

Very easy to use lock, also very easy to store. Easily stored next to the seat, so its always within easy reach for attaching to the steering wheel. Doesn't take up any unnecessary space.

Difficult to screw in but that's why you can't unscrew it when it's locked. I don't have the horizontal steel bar under the seat so had to use the left seat adjustment track on the passenger side (driver's side meant I couldn't move the seat as forward as I want). Just long enough to reach the steering wheel this way. And will fit nicely under the seat when not in use.
