This transformer was a perfect match for my LED under cabinet lights. I was able to hardwire the transformer from the light switch and then to the LED strip. Keep in mind, the voltage of the transformer must match the voltage of the LED strip - ie. this 24 Volt transformer pairs with 24 Volt LED strips. The wattage of the transformer must match the length of LED strips, and I believe the 60 watt transformer will power about 20' of LED. Any longer and you will need a higher power wattage transformer. The transformer also pairs well with a dimming switch, so that you can adjust the brightness of the under cabinet lighting. Installation is overall very easy. I did end up drilling 2 holes in the back of the housing to allow for my hardwiring to pass directly from the wall into the transformer. I mounted the transform inside the cabinet under the light switch. The transformer is virtually silent, no noise. The functionality is excellent. I think this item is a great value. I would highly recommend for your under cabinet LED lighting project!

I have tried three different forward phase dimmers with this driver and none of them work. Using just a simple light switch, when I turn it off and back on within a minute or two it does not come back on at full power. I need to turn it off, wait five minutes, and then it will turn back on at full power. Also gets quite hot and have had the thermal protection kick in once or twice (I am only driving 35W total load of dimmable 12V DC MR16 LED bulbs).I have no faith in the safety of this device and am replacing it. Definitely avoid this product.

Works great for my LED under-counter light strips, replacing my OEM power supply which died.
