Used I my aquarium the other day and do work nicely. Don't always open back up like they are supposed to. But are nde sharp and do a clean cut.

When I ordered these tweezer-action scissors, I hadn't noticed that they are intended for aquatic plant trimming. They just looked similar to some tiny curved tweezer action scissors I already had for beauty use. These arrived simply presented in a cellophane bag, inside a cardboard box. When I opened them, I was quite surprised at how large they are.As I don't have a fish tank, I tested these in the garden. They are not really sharp enough to cut a through something as thick as a rose stem, but were actually great for deadheading lightweight flower stems, and thin leafy material. The tweezer-action is so much kinder on your hands than using garden scissors or secateurs. These are so simple to use, you just lightly squeeze the handles together, and they cut. The blades are very long and thin, which makes it really easy to get a precise cut on individual stems. The only thing I found a little disappointing, and quite frankly a bit dangerous, is that there is no mechanism to keep the blades closed when not in use. The tips of the blades are incredibly sharp and pointed, so really they could do with a close fitting cover, or cap, for the blades. A locking catch would have been even better. If this had been provided, I would have given these 5 out of 5. They are definitely sharp enough for their intended use of trimming fish tank plants, and also a really nice addition for anyone who enjoys gardening. They seem very reasonably priced as well, especially as there is currently a 20% money-off voucher available.

These scissors are easy to hold but they aren't that sharp. They could only handle thin to medium weight materials but not thick. I tried cutting a piece of medium weight fabric (muslin) and it cut ok but when I fold the material it wouldn't cut. I didn't try it on plant but I guess they would be suitable for trimming small leaves as they have narrow opening and aren't that sharp to cut thick materials. Also, you can't lock the scissors to close it, which makes it hard for storage and you may easily cut yourself if you accidently touch it. Overall, a bit disappointed with the functionality and quality of the product for the intended purpose.
