This was just what I needed to refresh my 2004 Crew Cab Tundra. The old support was pretty rusty and starting to fray on one side. Definitely not something you’d want to touch bare handed. The new supports were easy to install. Just remove one T40 bolt. It included replacement washers which was a nice addition. Once installed, it seemed that the new straps must be a fraction of an inch longer than the old ones. Doesn’t make a difference in supporting the tailgate, but it meant that both sides should really be replaced so as to nit put more tension on top side than the other. In short, I wouldn’t recommend mixing and matching with OEM straps, but they include a pair for a reason. With both straps installed, the tailgate works perfectly and looks much nicer!

Just what my old truck needed! As you can tell from the photos, my old cables were worn out, and probably a major safety issue - structurally unsound and good cause for a tetanus shot.These new cables are well made, sturdy and durable. They fit perfectly and include all new washers. Very happy with these!
