Saw reviews where customers were having issues with mounting on side of the vehicle. Had no issues with my RAM 1500 front hood. Since NMO mount I added an all band antenna for a little better reception. Overall, very happy with the function and the mount is fantastic. UHF side does very well on SWR. VHF has a little high SWR but mainly using UHF more. More happy with the mount and easy to install. May buy the mount again for other projects.

Installs super easy and seems well made. I did have a concern with the tab over on the mount that rests on the fender. It is slightly offset lower, so it has a firmer fit that the hood (installed on bronco). I bent the little offset tab up slightly so it would rub on my fender.Used with my btech 50V and works great.

I am impressed with this ghost type antenna. You are not going to get super long range, but for say traveling with a group of vehicles, no problem. I have received broadcasts from 15 miles away.

Tab on mount prevents my trunk from closing. It should be flat and not bent down.Poorly made.

Last about 2 weeks and then it wouldn't pick up any reception no more where I moved it to.

The antenna Mount is of decent build quality with a nice coating, the cable can be rotated to come out of the right or Left of the mount.Pros:* - Sturdy* - Fixed Mounting point* - NMOCons:* Has a lip on front edge that MAY contact other surfaces depending on Mounting Location.* needs to be tightened quite well to lock the system down.Overall Impression:I have a working NMO Mount on my hood for a2016 Silverado, that I don't have to worry about drilling a hole or having to change a mount point. I wish the Antenna had more information about it outside of the band frequency, what is the DB gain, is there a DB Gain.. Who manufactured the Antenna.. Etc...With that said I will probably move to a Diamond or Nagoya antenna shortly to make sure I have a good signal for my radio, but the mount works well and the antenna is nice to be able to test and validate with, for GMRS comms it will probably be just fine..
