I wanted a blade with at least 1/2 of distance from the skin, this was not it. It cuts right next to the skin. Please be careful, as it is extremely sharp and wide, the good thing is that it cuts right through the thickest coat like butter so the clipping time is a lot faster. WARNING: This blade heats like crazy, even using the "cooling spray from Andis" I still had to use a metal comb between the skin and the blade to protect my dog. The cooling spray was not enough. It gets extremely hot.

This blade leaves tracks on my horse. It seemed like a good idea but my Andis #10 Ultra edge does a better job.

I was expecting this product to cut like 7 or 5 inch blade because the blade looks pretty long. I started to cut from the head of my dog and it letterly almost cut his skin. Now his got a bold spot right in the middle of his head. I'm glad I didn't start on his face. Did not meet my expectation at all.
