I almost didn't buy these because there were too few reviews and all positive. Reviews did mention the heft and weight which is a benefit to me so I compared the net weight of these plates with several other choices. These plates were 30%-50% heavier.. I am using them at home for regular meals. They don't sap the heat away from your food like ceramic does. They do heat up quickly and you might need to hold on the side as the bottom might be too hot or use a hot pad. The bowls have a mirror finish, water just beads off and they clean up like teflon is on the surface. I like the high sides which keeps the food in the plate, great for pasta dishes, gumbo, curries, mashed potatoes with gravy, etc. I have used a knife to cut foods and there are slight scratches but not deep at all. I liked these bowls so much I got another set of 4. I have also used these to cook in using my Ninja Combi Cooker and Breville Combi Wave to Air Fry, Broil and even microwave as the edges are round, plate gets hot so you must use hot pads but it works fine. As another reviewer mentioned, they are too heavy for a backpacker, titanium would be best. These plates are perfect for home, RV, camping, outdoor use. I highly recommend them. I did by two sets as I mentioned so there's my stamp of approval....

I wanted to get away from plastic or disposable plates for healthier and environmental. When it comes to cookware or dinnerware, good quality stainless steel is superior. The plate is so durable, big radius and depth is perfect for all kinds of meals. Feel so much better eating from stainless steel instead of paper, plastic, ceramic, melamine, etc.

Bought these for my camping buddy's birthday. We have used then every camping trip since. We love them. They're sturdy enough for soup/chili or baked potatoes, really anything. You can put something straight of the fire/grill in and it isn't too hot to hold. Super easy to clean. Best part is not having to buy paper plates. Reducing cost and waste.

I debated whether we wanted to haul around plates and bowls, and decided we would go for this compromise. Hardly a compromise! They are awesome. We used them for taco salad and it was better than a plate or bowl. They washed up easily. They will definitely get scratched and dented, but for camping I don't really mind. The 4 count came in handy too, since we had unexpected guests and had enough to go around! Great buy.

I guess if they're good enough for your pets then a quick trip to the forest can't be wrong. Use them regularly as camp bowls, they are a good weight and easily cleaned, just the right size for an adult bowl of cereal or some beans. Not sure if my pets would use them or not?

We bought these to use as dog bowls. Nice flat bottoms, wide and nice rise. Our dogs clean their plates and it's easy to wash these when they're done. Very pretty - shiny. Use the non-scratching pads to clean and you won't have any issues with these. They're stay shiny for a long, long time. Love the way they stack and the dogs cannot tip them over - big selling feature. Our Husky likes to tip her bowl over if she's not happy with her dinner. Who needs a critic.
