The microscope is great and very good quality. The only downside it is the image on the computer screen is not as clear as I think it should be. It is fussy compared to looking directly into the eye piece.

I searched for a long time and read a lot of reviews on all kinds of microscopes. I did a ton of research and when all was said and done I decided to go with this microscope. I got this for my daughter for her birthday but I did not want to buy her a toy microscope because I wanted it to be educational as well as fun and interesting. In my opinion the is a good starter microscope. The design is very sturdy. Its not made of plastic and everything that did come with was very good. I like the camera for the computer so my kids and I call all look at it together. You are able to take snapshots and recordings of what you are looking at. That aspect alone makes it very good for science fair projects. Objects when looking through the scope are very clear once it is focused. The only small down side is that when the camera is hooked up the image seems to be slightly darker but you can still see a very good picture of what you are looking at. All in all this is a great starter microscope for anyone without having to empty your wallet! I recommend this microscope!

What a disappointment. For the price you would expect it to at least work. The power supply doesn't work at all. The camera is terrible. When looking thru the lenses it works, but the camera is so dark, and the program that came with it doesn't allow any adjustment. Can't get anything but a black screen on the highest power, even without a slide on. After seeing the pictures shown with this me and my sons were very excited. The actual product wasn't even close.

only thing missing with this are the slides. none are supplied and should come with at least three. That would given a chance to use out of the box and probably a five star rating.
