The stuff is amazing! So easy to work with. I use it to make a cast for molding parts of missing wood. Then I use a wood filler that hardens really well inside the mold. The whole process takes less than an hour. So simple. I wish I knew about this a lot sooner!

I've never tried to make any molds before. So i was nervous to try, especially knowing the very short working time. I dont have a scale so i just eyeballed that A and B were the same amount and mixed best i could. Everything turned out perfect and i used it a bunch of times right away! I needed a mold for liquid clay so i needed a product that could be put in the oven. This is it! So far, its amazing.

I received this one and it was ok. My first attempt wasn’t thick enough and the resin spilled everywhere. I redid it and it worked okay the next time as I made sure to apply it thickly. I did t have enough to finish so I ordered more. The photos are how I received it. Very poorly packaged and the putty had spilled inside the package. This is not safe. Now I have to wait till it is returned to get a refund. My project is now on hold. If it had been packaged correctly then this is an ok product for small projects. But I won’t order this off Amazon again as it isn’t quicker if it doesn’t get here in tack.Update: They issued a refund but took almost 8 dollars of it for shipping back because I don’t have a ups near me to drop off so I had to get a pickup. I shouldn’t have to pay for shipping it back when it was their fault it wasn’t packaged correctly. Very dissatisfied!

I have used this two part mold system for years. It’s great for molding buttons, small sculpts and vintage jewelry for use in mixed media projects. Mix the two parts thoroughly and then either mold the putty around the object on a flat surface or make a small “biscuit” and push the item in. Sets up quickly and can be baked with poly clay inside or used for resin. And again and again.

This was extremely easy to use. I used my kitchen scale to weigh out each part to make sure they were equal. Both parts were so soft and very easy to mix. Make sure to read the instructions carefully. You only have a couple minutes before it begins to harden, but honestly, it mixed together so easily and quickly. Make sure you figure out how much you will need to make your mold. You don't want to end up using too little and too much seems like wasted product. If you can, use clay or playdough to test sizes you'll need.It feels kind of rubbery when it's fully hardened. It seems like the mold will last a long time. The ONLY downside I've experienced so far is when I opened the box, there was one container that didn't have it's lid on. At all. Seems to work fine so it's not much of a problem, maybe just a simple packaging issue.I look forward to many more castings

I was suprised how far this product goes. I've only gone about a third of the way through both tubs, and have made at least twenty small items. It's very simple to use, and is really productive. Be warned though - don't mix the two tubs in any way, or it can really mess the product up!The finished moulds are durable, and great for many purposes.

Amazing Mold Putty is totally a game-changer for me. For prototyping I would make some Proto Putty (poor-man's DIY silicone putty) and that was a complete joke next to working with this! No stink, no gloves, longer work time and arguably a thousand times better all-around experience. Although I had some sticker shock initially, I very quickly came to realize that this stuff is definitely worth twenty clams, and then some (but please don't raise your price Alumilite!). And I was astonished by how well it bonds to itself! You can add to things with ease afterward. I absolutely love it! It truly is amazing. However, Alumilite really, REALLY needs to start putting (non-permanent) tape on the caps to keep them sealed before shipping. I have bought two now, and one time Part B cap was open and the other time both were open. I suspect that this happens when they toss them in the box, because the shape of the caps can get caught on the box's top edge as it is going into the box. Fortunately, they did not appear to dry out at all.. but regardless this should be fixed for sure. Otherwise I am completely thrilled with Mold Putty!

This stuff is no joke. It works very well-far better than the Sculpey mold maker. It creates a clean, flexible mold, that produces clean, crisp clay imprints. The Sculpey molds require baking to solidify, and they definitely harden over time. I have some only 3 months old, and they are rock-hard.My first issue with this mold putty is, my box arrived open. The outside package showed no indications of having been dropped or stepped on. It was packed in a padded envelope, which was part of the problem. However, the contents of BOTH canisters had oozed out into the box, which was completely open. Is it always delivered in that state? Who thought that was a good packing procedure? As for the product, itself, it set up WAY faster than 3 minutes. The instructions say sets in up to 3 minutes. That's an exaggeration. In about a minute, the putty started to become harder to work--like malleable foam. I barely had time to get the amount I wanted blended, and the item pressed into it. So, I like it a lot for the nice mold it produces, but holy organization and timing! Have your things out and ready to go, immediately, to make the impression. Also, it seems to work best with small items. If you had to mold a larger item, there's no way you'd have it blended and pressed out in time.I noticed that it is hard to get creases out of it. I attempted to smooth them out, and no-go. The putty doesn't respond the way clay does, and there's really no time to be that picky, anyway. I don't know how people use this product to get those smooth-edged molds. I tried, and no banana. If you're OK with speed-mold making smaller molds, this stuff creates an awesome mold. If you move a bit slower, you might explore other options.
