My wife really loves this coat, it’s very comfortable and very warm plus it’s washable.She usually wears a medium but it was too big so she ordered a small which fits perfectly.

I saw a review that said if you are a 2x in clothes and dont typically wear thick layers then stick with a 2x. If you want to wear bulky clothes then size up. I am typically a 2x in stores like Torrid, Penn or Old Navy so I would say this is consistent plus size sizing. 2 front zipper pockets, 2 pockets inside, thumb holes, good big hood and sturdy feeling material and zippers. Worth the price tag in my opinion. The 'grape' is more on the dark burgandy tones than a purple tone but still a rich colour.

I bought this coat last winter as we moved to a rural farm community, in central lL. As everyone knows Chicago is called "The Windy City", and I --will-- debate them. The wind is horribly strong and cold. It could lift my 20 pd dog!!! We do not farm but live on one acre of farmland with 40 trees around us. Also, there are only farms around us. My studio is quite a little ways from my house so I needed protection from the wind, rain, snow, ice, and everything in between. I'd found this coat and liked what it said and the reviews I read. Lots of pockets, made so nothing falls out. I am a larger woman 5'1 175 lbs. my body is not put together like others. meaning when it's supposed to be plump, it's flat, and vice versa. Boy was I happy with this coat. I cannot say enough about the coat or its company. It's vegan and does everything with our world in mind. I have never had a coat like this. My daughter was complaining about finding a coat that she could wear while sledding with my grandsons and still keep her dry and warm. I gave her mine. She couldn't believe I had a coat that fit the bill. Well, I went right home and thankfully I was able to find it and bought it again...Same color and everything. "Burgandy" I did it that way because she would not have let me buy this coat for her. She knew I had a few coats. But she didn't know I had the "Holy Grail" of a winter coat, She and her husband have 3 boys 7-13 and the cost would have been a detriment for her. It would have been to me too at that stage of our family life with children running around. But now I'm retired and have no little kids anymore so I was able to do this for her. I cannot say enough about the coat. read all you can about the company. They are the ones I want to do business with again. Perfect fit, Perfect pocket protection. Everything is A++ Next year I'm going to buy a different color.

I really wanted to like this jacket as it seemed like it would keep me very warm in the Colorado winters but it was just so darn heavy. I ended up returning because of that. If you don't mind the weight then this coat would definitely keep you warm. It was very well made. Pockets on the front were way too small though.

I researched super warm winter coats from all the popular name brands & landed on this one. I LOVE the style & how flattering it is. I was concerned about the fit, as there were so many conflicting reviews. I am 5’7” tall, 140 lbs. a little broad shouldered & I have long arms. I ordered a medium. This coat is AWESOME! Roomy enough to wear my coziest, thickest hoodie & sweater while still giving me a shape. Arms a slightly tighter than the body of the coat but still roomy enough for layers. The half-gloves are awesome & fit fine, even with my long(ish) arms. This is by far my favorite heavy winter coat I’ve ever purchased for myself! It’s very soft too! Reviews talk about the floppy hood but I LOVE it! So cute, unique & cozy!! I am very happy with this purchase!

The hood does not go over your head?! It’s cosmetic, not functional. Unfortunately I needed that on my winter coat, otherwise the jacket is nice material, very heavy coat. Returned.

I love this jacket! I was looking for a vegan winter coat, and this was perfect. Apart from it being a tad too small (I bought a medium, and it's comfortable if I'm wearing a sweater top underneath, but a bit too snug if I put another sweater over the sweater I'm wearing), it was just what I was looking for. It doesn't have faux fur around the hood (honestly, as a vegan, why would I want to wear anything that simulated fur???), and it has a number of options for pockets. While I initially wasn't too crazy about the hood (it is rather big, isn't detachable, and is bulky sitting behind your neck when you don't have it on), it "grew" on me, and I could sincerely appreciate how the hood creates a cozy buffer for the back of my neck when it's cold. All in all, I am satisfied with my purchase. Although I wish it were a little bigger, I know when I lose some weight, it will no longer be an issue. 😉 Also, I got it in black, and it really looks nice and "sharp".
