This bowl was just what I hoped for. It is sturdy enough to hold three lbs of cabbage and salt to mix up for sauerkraut crock. Works for what I need it for. I did not put any hot food in it.

Wonderful bowels but both came with a very big problem. The manufacturers put stickers in the middle of the bottom of each bowl. They are impossible to totally get rid of! Tried vinegar, baking soda, hard toothbrush, dish soap... didn't do the trick!I suggest using a paper label.

These bowls I do not feel are "heavy duty" and did not meet our needs. My husband and I were looking for this size, but feel the quality is just not there. The lightweight style contradicts the description of them being heavy duty. As well, the picture on the website didn't show the bottom of the bowl, so when we got them, we didn't realize there was an "edge" around the bottom instead of them being smooth with no "edge" or "lip". The first time my husband used it, the bowl already got a dent in the bottom because the pastry knife would teeter on the lip/edge of the bottom of the bowl.I can see using this bowl for things like salad, popcorn, mixed batter, etc., but for heavy, repeated use, I would not recommend buying them.

Can't get the adhesive off the inside of my bowl. Bottom of bowl pops in and out when scrubbing.

There used to be a CA warning of chemicals added to this product - lead and cadmium. These are typical additives from products made outside the U.S.A. . I am disappointed . Why isn’t this included BEFORE you purchase? I also included the product number and upc and was not given information for the product I purchased. I was told that product did not exist. Not good customer service.

Ordered a cheap metal bowl, got a cheap metal bowl. No complaints at all there. 5 stars.But what I'll remember is the label on the inside bottom, which appears to be stuck on with permanent epoxy or something. Annoying enough to cause me to write a review about a cheap metal bowl. Points off just for that. You know we want to actually use this product without the label, right?

I purchased one in the past and got two more recently! These bowls are fantastic and well worth the price. More importantly, a huge THANKYOU to Alpine for employing the use of better stickers that leave no residue when peeling off! The first one I purchased, even after several washes, the adhesive residue of the sticker (which was placed on the inside of the bowl) still remains until I finally got some Goo' Gone. With the newer ones, they peel off easily and with no residue to boot!The product itself is just overall fantastic and I highly recommend it!
