The product is as advertised, it is a 3/8" hex shaft (3/8" across the flats). But be aware that the diameter from corner to corner is slightly wider than 3/8" (about .39 inches). Check the maximum diameter of your drill before purchasing this, it is more suitable for a 1/2" drill.
