The brightness is equal to a 40 W bulb or 40 candlepower or 6 #2 flat-wick lamps . Made in India . Note: For lamps made prior to 1928 (Models 3-11), a Kone Kap Mantle Adaptor #N146A is required because Kone Kap mantles are no longer being produced. The adapter allows you to continue to use your lamp.

Hit and miss. I order a lot of these and they come in some gapped at the bottom, some are crocked and you can't straiten then with out breaking them. Some you flame the first time and they have a hole in them for no reason.

Well made, installed perfectly, works as expected. The $8.00 mantle lasted seven years. I’m pleased at the quality of these but surprised at the price.
