Product fits well but does not work as intended. The engine heater sensors built into the intake pipe are not functional. This causes a 37DE code and sometimes a misfire along with it. Save time and inevitably money by ordering an OEM Mini Cooper or OE replacement pipe from a reputable brand and website/physical store.

Update..1/10/25The replacement process for the first intake pipe through Amazon was seamless.....kudos to Amazon.However...The replacement suffers from the same failure...If you live in a warm climate where temps stay above freezing it will most likely work for you.....here in MI..not so much..After two defective units and to put this to bed, I purchased a genuine OEM part......problem solved...finished.This hose incorporates a crankcase ventilation heater. It lasted one months before failing. When December came with freezing temps, the check engine lamp came on setting a code due to heater failure. The quality of the hose is ok but the incorporated heater is not. I used an Ohm meter to check resistance on the heater and it measures open.A (warrantied) replacement is coming...will see how it holds up (I have my doubts..)

Fit exactly as factory compared to the other brands I tried. The item failed to work after 7 months. Emailed Company with no response.

This hose incorporates a crankcase ventilation heater. It lasted only three months before failing. I suspect it never worked because I installed it in September, and when December rolled around (our first freeze), the car returned to my shop with the check engine lamp on. This crankcase heater only turns on once the temperature is near freezing. The quality of the hose is fine but not the crankcase heater within it. Stay away, the part is junk.
