ITs a terrible piece of plastic. I had so much trouble cutting this stuff, Im embarrassed to show pictures of the project. The melting point of this is soooo low That I couldnt cut it. Even @ high water pressure there just wasnt enough cooling to stop the tools from melting this plastic. Needless to say my project did get finished and Im testing as me speak BUT it looks like a 2nd grader made it. I got this clear plastic to "show off" the machining and to be able to see into this plastic to see what is going on inside it. WELL! thats a impossibility with the way it turned out. I did order a 1.5" polycarbonate dowel/rod from another company so I can actually be satisfied with the final result. Of course thats still "up in the air" but I think polycarbonate will machine the way I want it (because I have worked with it dozens of times) but it expensive. So now I end up with this useless hunk-o-plastic PLUS spending more on "real" polycarbonate ($75 w/S&H for 1.5"D x 24") who said making it ur self is cheaper. LoL. it keeps me out of the bars. (So says my wife).

It's flawlessly smooth finish is what I remember growing up in my parents' bathroom which they hung their towels on !
