I was a little concerned about this needing a bunch of room for the float to operate as it should because I was wanting to add this as a backup. I ended up using zip ties to shorten the float so that it didn’t need a lot of room. It works great! It pumps at a good pace and isn’t loud. The size ended up being perfect. I haven’t had to clean it yet so I am not sure how difficult it is to clean. A great value!

we use this for a front entrance fountain that runs 24 hours a day. We normally have to replace this every eight months because of it. Which makes it last a little longer in our application. I would consider the pump a good quality. It’s easy to use and functional. The water. Flow was great.

In order for this pump to turn on with the float, you would seriously need two feet of water. If you turn the float over to force it to turn on, it will blow out once there is no water to pump. It is a decent pump if you're draining a pool or similar, but it's not effective for what I purchased it for.

I wish it had a bigger handle so i could fit the end of a pool brush in it. Otherwise, it moves a lot of water. Drained my 15k gallon pool in less than half a day. Just put a 1 1/2” or 2” hose on the outlet to get full flow and then cut the hose adapter back to your size so it isn’t choked down.Don’t rely on the float switch for anything more than gross level start-stop. Probably fine for a sump.

I use this product to drain my pool to repair some minor cracks. Water drain quickly. I also had some minor flooding where I had a ground drain it was clogged and kept the water at bay from damaging other areas of my backyard. Pro tip - Make sure to check and clean the screen if you use it where debris might be.
