Revised rating and review after a bump.....the colored plastic LOOKS great, but the metal in the guards is fairly flexible (as with most hand guards) so with any deformation from a hit, it will need some bending back into shape.....the plastic makes this process much more difficult. Go with bare metal and sacrifice pretty.Given the steel lugs in the OEM handle bars, it a longer than necessary process: drilling and tapping. Some good videos on YouTube.Once that was done, install was easy and straight forward. Bracket configuration gives plenty of flexibility for working around all of the lines....

Look great on my KLX300R. Seem like much better quality than the cheaper handguards I’ve used in the past from Amazon. Good hardware and fitment. Haven’t crashed hard so can’t vouch for durability in that regard. So far so good.

Put these on my 2023 KLX230SM and they fit great on stock handlebars with no modifications. They look great, I just covered the vents on the guards with black electrical tape for cold weather riding here in the Northeast. Definitely recommended and they get lots of compliments too!

The hand guards are awesome. I wish the handle bar hardware was specific to the 3rd gen klr. It needs a longer extension piece that secure the inside of the hand-guards to the inside of the bars so i can cleanly get around all the handle bar controls and brake reservoir etc.The outside part that attaches to rhe bar end weights is perfect bc the give u the perfect screw to replace your oem one. Its a bit longer screw that works perfect.Only took me about 30 minutes to install. Fairly straight forward install. No directions in box but it was pretty easy to figure out. All i had to do was remove bar end weights and they had a replacement screw that fit right back in the same bar weights. They give you a screw that is a little longer to accommodate the new guards. Of course u have to loosen up some controls then loosely connect everything til you find your sweet spot. They look awesome. Love the style and the were fairly cheap compared to barkbusters. I like em. Fits great and blocks the wind and protects from falls and branches. Very comfortably.

the fit on factory 2017 KLX250 bars is pretty good. Needed to bend them a little. Good hardware.seems thick and very well made.

Good quality and super sturdy. Fits my Renthal standard 7/8 Carmichael bars perfectly. If you have stock clutch/brake levers you will need to trim those giant things back or buy a smaller pair. This will fit stock KLX230R bars.
