This was a great replacement globe for the one that we broke in our laundry room. The opening size is not commonly used anymore so it was not readily available at the big box stores. When it arrived, it was very carefully packed so that it would not break during shipping which was my biggest fear. This is actually the second one that we have replaced. Our house was built in the early 90s so replacing things like this has been a little bit of a challenge. I would definitely recommend this product. It’s a great value for the price.

I accidentally dropped and broke a ceiling fan globe that was made of plastic. Yeah, the plastic globe broke. So I went online and found this replacement which is exactly the same measurements as the previous globe, but is made of good quality glass. I am pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this vendor.

The 8 inch by 4 inch fit my ceiling fixture perfectly. The globe is 8 inch but the fitter (opening) is 3 3/4 inch. I have been searching for 8 x 3 3/4 inch for a year. All stores said they only had 4inch fitter but never measured the opening. I took a chance, ordered this glass globe and it fits. Two imperfections on the globe: it has a small pin sized dimple and a pin size glaze spot not completed on one side. I recommend this item. If you need it buy it.
