Item description: 304 Stainless steel number 8 helical spring-lock washersBrand: AOESINItem: B0BLSFWNRPDate received: 2023-02-09Headline - Good value on standard stainless steel helical spring-lock washersProduct Claims100 Ct #8 helical spring-lock washers304 stainless steelASME/ANSI B18.21.1I received exactly what was claimed in the product description as to quantity (100 count; I didn't count them individually, but I did a weight count and found there were between 100 and 101 present), material (stainless steel), size (#8), and type (helical spring-lock washers). They arrived in a small, flat, labelled, corrugated cardboard box, within which they were bagged in a plastic zipper bag. The box label notes a product number X003HJLDVR followed by "#8 (100 pcs) Stainless Steel Sp..ock [presumably meaning spring lock] washers, ASME/ANSI B18.21.1". Further labeling noted "AOE-AM44102-100 304 SS NEW AOESIN MADE IN CHINA".The dimensional requirements of that standard for regular helical spring-lock washers are below. I measured these washers as 0.293 inch outside diameter and 0.171 inch inside diameter, 0.044 inch thick, 0.059 section width in which the circumference is disconnected, forced out of plane into a helix, so that at the point where the slit occurs is approximately twice the thickness of the metal. Based on a sample of one and comparing to the below requirements (there are other requirements in the standard - below are just some of the key dimensional characteristics), these washers appear to be dimensionally compliant with the specification.Dimension Standard Requirement (inches)OD 0.293 maximumID 0.167 to 0.175Thickness 0.040 minimumSection Width 0.055 minimumI can't assess the product claim that these are specifically 304 alloy stainless steel, but they are only mildly magnetic, as would be normal for most highly cold-worked stainless steel alloys. (Carbon steel would be much more strongly magnetic.)Why stainless? - stainless screws are not necessarily the highest strength screw you can find (carbon steel screws are normally stronger), but they are normally strong enough for most uses, and they will not corrode (much, some mild surface corrosion is possible). They provide a great broad-based solution for small shops.

These 1/2 inch (50 pcs) Stainless Steel Spring Lock Washers by AOESIN are exactly what I needed. As they are stainless steel, I don't have to worry about rust and now I can secure some bolts I had that kept loosening on me. They look nice and there are plenty of them to last me for quite a while after I complete this project. The price, $9.28 as of this writing, is great. I will definitely be ordering from them again if I need something so I do recommend AOESIN!!

If you want to secure something outdoor once it’s best to get stainless steel hardware. These will not rust and will outlast whatever you are using them for. I am using it for a fence panel which came with steel which have started to rust, making panel look old. These fix that issue and should be looking good for a long time compared to steel.Thank you for taking the time to read my review and photos of this product. I hope it has been helpful in providing you with more information.
