Needed the exact thread size for my Sony 70-200 GMII lense to use my 82mm filter. Works great with it and you'll be hard-pressed to find something at this value. Highly recommended to anyone who needs this. If you need something for robust, I suggest a more expensive product like a brass step up ring.

Nothing special, it just does the job of a step up ring. In this case 77 to 82. I guess the good thing would be that it is easy to add and remove. Some will never come out once in, and you'll be forced to use as is. In that light I had no issues with this ring.

I ordered this WIIYE 77mm to 82mm Step-Up Ring so that I can use my 82mm filters on lenses with a 77mm filter thread.I almost always order filters in 82mm as that size will fit my largest lenses. I then use step-up rings to use those large filters with lenses that take smaller filters. I used to rely on pulling a combination of rings from a set, but I found that the sets typically had rings that tended to get stuck, and going from a very small lens diameter to a large filter meant that the filter was being held very far away from the lens, often making use of a hood difficult if not impossible. So, I've moved to single size rings.This 77-82mm step up ring fits my 77mm lenses perfectly with no binding. Even if tightened down on the lens, it is easy to unscrew. I'm able to use the original lens caps if they are the type that fit inside the lens opening. The same is true of most original lens hoods. It is easy to screw in an 82mm filter and even when tightened, the filters do not bind when it is time to remove them.
