These parachutes are well-made with nice colors and satiny material. The black netting is sewn around the bottom of the parachute and a ribbon hangs from the end of the netting with a plastic man attached at the bottom of the ribbon. At first, I couldn't get it to open when I (or my husband) tossed it upwards, but then I folded it differently - with the netting exposed and the man against the netting. This allowed it to open to the air sooner and it actually "parachuted" a bit. Even so, neither my husband nor I could throw it high enough to get much flight time. I would love to be able to drop them from the balcony or window of a tall building and watch them parachute down. I feel like that would be a cool sight. Because, my problem is that we just can't seem to toss it high enough to get enough draft under the parachute for a decent flight.

Cool toy, great for kids, simple to use:This product is a great item for a kids birthday party or similar where you want to keep a group of young ones entertained and outside. The parachutes are all decently well made (about what you'd expect for the current ~$10 price tag) and don't tear or rip too easily. The parachutes don't always deploy if you throw them straight in the air, but if you sort of toss them by holding the parachute and swinging the little man forward (underhand is easiest for me), the chute opens more often than not and is easy for a kid to mimic. The toys are great fun once you figure out how to throw them efficiently.Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend.
