If you have a guitar that doesn't sound that good unplugged like a apx500lll or a parlor guitar my apx500lll sounds amazing.

These are very nice bridge pins. The finish is almost like a dark gun blue. Very well done. The machining is consistent and mine didn't have any sharp areas. I typically replace the cheapo plastic pins in all of my guitars with metal ones. These were a little snug so be aware of that and do NOT try to force them down into your bridge if they don't fit properly. You can split the bridge if you do that. What I do is simply use my micrometer to measure the existing plastic bridge pins at the widest part where they fit into the hole. In this case the top part of the plastic pin measured 5.2mm. These metal pins measured 5.35mm. They would not easily seat down into the bridge pin holes. I gently reamed the bridge holes 3 turns with my reamer and that was all it took for them to fit snugly into the holes. Note that I did 1 turn at a time and then checked fitment. The best part is that they are so close in measurements that the plastic pins still work should I decide to sell the guitar with the original pins. Hope this helps someone.

I like these a lot. Easy to install over some other metal pins I have tried. The sound is as goo as a Taylor can bring.

I ordered black. I received golden.Sad because it feels like a great product. It is why I give 2 and not 1.

Installed these same pins on a previous Yamaha, and the sound improvement was noticeable. I'm not good at explaining subjective things, but I'd say there was more sustain and clarity. I prefer to play on slightly worn phosphor bronze strings, with fingers, thumb and thumbnail. Even with all these warming/muddying factors at play, the sound seemed to have more clarity, which was just what I needed. just got a new Yamaha FG800, and ordered these right away. It turns out these pins will not seat properly on this guitar, which I did not expect at all. I do run medium strings, which are thicker than most. However, like I said, they were fine on my other Yamaha, a similar model, but I don't have it any more and cannot remember what exact model it was.I may try to machine them in order to fit without altering the bridge. If so, I'll report back here.

I replaced the bone bridge pins with these brass pins on my 2015 martin om. It is notacably louder and sustain lasts much longer, because i can palm mute my sound into perfection i personally really like the added range added to the guitars available pallet and for those jams where its loud and a dreadnought or two are also playing i definitely have no issues being able to be heard without plugging into pa or amp, it honestly took some adjusting to my game to not play too loud when im coppin a feel, with that said personally if i never planned on playing live or with other people and i only was writing songs in my room alone or working with artists in studio, i think the added volume and sustain really are unnecessary, i basically palm mute and adjusted how i play to get the sound where i want it, but when i need it i can let it max out and cut through dam near anything and im speaking unplugged no pa no amp. so if your lookin to add volume and sustain i can say these made a noticable increase on my om martin compared to its original bone bridge pins. Or if i had a cheap shitty guitar that lacked character and wad dull sounding if you cant afford a all solid wood guitar then for the money putting on elixer strings with these pins is probably the money you can spend to help out your guitars pallet of available sound.

Pros: These bridge pins resonate just a tad bit better than the plastic. I kinda like how they stick up above the bridge just a tad, it gives the side of my hand something to bite onto while playing. I really enjoy the gun metal look.Cons: they could definitely be Better quality but for the price you get what you get.Overall I’m really happy with them.

The pins seem to work OK. They are more of a black chrome or gunmetal grey than actual black. I didn't think I'd like the color at first, but they do look good on my guitar. Whatever coating or plating is on them seems quite durable. (I wasn't able to scratch it with a knife.) Unlike the gold ones, the black ones are not slotted all the way up, which leaves a couple of them sticking a little out of the bridge. Also, the little decorative flanges on the top are kind of sharp and scratchy . . . They are not sharp enough to cut anything, but they don't feel friendly. I'll use them, but they could be made better with a little more attention to detail. Still, they work very well and actually look quite good.Update: I just bought a second set. The first set was much darker than the ones I just got. The second set is more of a lead color . . . or perhaps tarnished silver. They are okay, but I still wish they were closer to black.
