First I want to let you know the hole that needs to be in the top of the jar is 1/4". I had to watch the video in the listing to find out what size hole was needed. Go straight up and down with your drill bit. If it wobbles a little you will not get a good seal for your injection port. They come packaged separately but in one plastic bag. I have used them 8 times now and have had a successful grow of mycelium each time. Highly recommend.

I used these to modify lids on glass jars for mushroom grain spawn. I used gasket sealant to seal the injection ports and only used 1 filter patch per jar (any old pasta jar) which despite the other reviews, worked fine on every jar. Cover the lids with foil and they survived the pressure cooker (instant pot) just fine. Every jar had clean and healthy mycelium 2 weeks after innoculation so these did exactly what I needed them to do.

Beware if you intend to use these filters for mycology. My mycelium colonisation was choked due to insufficient GE, and as a result extremely slow. I actually had to pop the lids open for colonisation to resume, which is risky.Since then I’ve opted for two air vents per jar instead of one, which is better but still slower than polyfill.

Very impressed with the quality of the injection port and filter patch. Use of ease and product durability. Holds up pressure cooking and no contamination issues. Great addition for any Mycology enthusiast.

Great value and have worked awesome so far. No contamination if you put everything on right. You have to make sure it's completely flat when you install the plug pull it in from the inside.

Not a big fan of injection ports included in this kit they seem very brittle and don't imagine you can use them very many times without creating a hole big enough to no longer be sealed. I like the filter patches though.

They worked on my jars, went through the pressure cooker and came out fine. i would recommend maybe squirting some silicone around the stopper I had one out of twelve kind of wobble and let in contamination but the rest all seem to have worked.

Works as intended but go with a 15/64” drill bit instead of 1/4” if you want a tight seal for the rubber injection port and 1/2” for the filter hole. Now if these SNAPE would hurry up I’d be a happy trippy hippy 🤣 @420mafia

Just what I needed Would be nice if the Synthetic Filter Stickers were at least 3cm diameter.
