After comparing all the post bases I could possibly find, I am so happy with these! I used them to support privacy paneling above my deck railing, so they needed to be sturdy enough to support 4-foot posts without adding extra weight that could weaken the railing. These are perfect! The shape of the ones I received are not like the octagon looking bases shown in the photos, but rather have just two mounting edges on opposite sides. This is also perfect for my project because I didn't want the sides of the bases to protrude past the deck railing. Another reviewer mentioned a gap between the base and wood, but it looks like just enough gap for expansion during hotter months and it's small enough to fill with a bead of caulking. As a bonus, the seller is great - wonderful service and fast response! I really appreciate that since caring service is so hard to find nowadays. Highly recommend!

Although these are a great product, They do not match the first group of bases I ordered and now have mismatched bases.

Great good quality however I would suggest using different bolts and hardware than what is provided. The hardware provided is not heavy duty to hold bigger projects.

I bought these as extra support for a 5' square and 8' tall play structure that I was building for my toddler. I could have gotten away with no bracket but figured it was worth the extra headache to make sure it doesn't shift. It's a very nicely made product and I liked that it came with the expansion anchors for concrete mounting. The downside is that they advertise that it is for standard 4"x4"s (actual 3.5"x3.5") but the interior is probably 3.75"x3.75". I made it work and screwed the posts in the best I could but there is a gap on all sides so it's not a clean look. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone that needs better accuracy for sizing of their 4"x4" posts

We just completed a new pool deck and railings last weekend. The post brackets really were a great and easy product to use for the new posts and railings. They are heavy duty as noted and come with hardware that were very useful for our project. I would highly recommend this product.
