The inside of the tool is engineered to fit securely on the front side of the pulley, ensuring a firm hold. During the installation process, the tool keeps the belt in place as the engine is rotated clockwise, preventing damage to both the belt and the pulley.

I think the tool is a great idea but in practice it fails. The smaller inside pulley requires the belt to stretch too much with this tool. The pulley is a bad design for a stretch belt, but this tool will not solve it. Zip ties work better.

Broke the belt. If it was not a smaller pully on the inside, probably would have worked okay. Terrible design by Ford. Just don't buy this if the inside pully is smaller than the outside and it is a stretch fit belt.
