These blades are always so great!! I love how easy they are to slide and cut over dog hair. This one will be especially helpful in doing a little bit longer of a cut and not just a buzz. These are great quality and I highly recommend.

I got this to groom my golden doodle, who has a thick and curly coat. This glides through her fur and leaves a nice cut. I use this with the Oster Golden A5.

I am a professionally trained convex edge sharpener. I sharpen all manner of convex edges such as high end barber shears, pet grooming clipper blades (A5 type) like this one and small stock animal clippers. I use an Andis AGC2 clipper, faux fur and a collection of professional tools specifically designed to sharpen and test convex grooming clipper blades.This blade cut pretty smoothly right out of the package. Oddly, the tension was set a little lighter than the recommended 3lbs. Most blades that I test are set to a tension that is too high. Setting the tension too high tends to make a mediocre blade cut better but it increases the friction and the temperature.I dismantled the blade, increased the tension a little, reset the offset, and re-oiled the blade. It cuts smoother and cleaner now but honestly, not by a lot.I liked this blade even before I improved it but the fact that I could improve it lowered my rating to a 4.
