They are ok bags, the quality isn’t great and the material very thin. I don’t expect them to last very long

I bought these to bring backpacking, I wanted to compress some things to fit better in my bag.The way these are designed is flawed. The buckles are too far from the ends, there's not enough strapping to compress your items in any meaningful way.I don't mean that they don't work unless they are full, because some bags do need to be reasonably full before you can get some compression on them. I mean that when I filled the smallest bag completely full to the brim, I could effortlessly pull all the straps to their maximum tightness.. because it was hardly tight at all. Very mild compression, still large in size. Large enough to not bother with the fiddly design of the bag itself, but we'll get to that in a moment. The next size bigger was ever so slightly better, when I filled it to the absolute brim, and then compressed it, I did get a more meaningful compression, but it was still mild, and if the bag was only 3/4 full instead of jam packed, then it would have been just as worthless as the smallest bag.The next size bigger might have been slightly better yet, but still I imagine that you wouldn't be able to compress anything to the expected amount unless it was absolutely jammed full to the brim. I'd seen enough and decided to send them back. Now, that's the biggest problem, they don't actually compress anything. The second problem is the design of the bag on a fundamental level. The four straps are are hooked to the bottom of the bag and then connected to a free floating "cap" of sorts. So you fill the bag, then you have to wrestle this cap over the open end of the bag, line it up just right, and then begin compressing it.Compare this to a bag like the one tigress underquilt and top quilt comes in, where the straps are connected to the bottom and then loop straight over the top through some guides on the sides, it's way easier to use. You load the bag, wiggle the straps into position, and start pulling. This also allows the bag to compress much tighter, because the bottom of the bag is being squished towards the top of the bag. But with the design of this item on Amazon, the bottom "cap" is being squished towards the top "cap", and the buckles on those caps are near the middle of the bag, giving you no room to compress anything before you run out of strap. This is a fundamentally flawed design. Yes it seems like a good deal, but the product doesn't work. I say don't buy it.Edit: The company reached out to me and offered me a refund for my troubles. They didn't ask me to adjust my review, but I'm going to anyway. My original review remains above, but I've added one star because they seem to actually care about their product. And also because I figured out a way to get at least some compression out of the bags.I took two of these bags on my trip recently, and discovered that if I stuff the bags full, and then balance even more stuff on the top of the bag before swinging the cap over, I can get a little bit more compression. This is still really cumbersome and a bad design, but not completely worthless. For the price, which is basically 5 bags for the price of 2, it might be worth it to you if you need the bigger sized bags.Though bear in mind that one of my bags is already developing a tear where the strap connects, so longevity might be an issue.

Good value and price, but they do not compress as much as I would like. Seems like a slight design defect, but still works, especially at the price .

Five was more than we needed, but was a great price. Worked perfectly for our trip to Isle Royale.

Despite the other review saying that these don’t compress, they actually compress just fine. If the bags are full enough, there is no issue with compression. The biggest negative is that all four straps are permanently connected. It would be better if two of the straps were able to disconnect so it was easier to get the cap around to the top of the bag.
