About this item

  • Enhanced Flexibility: Our mouse interface pads provide an additional cushioning layer that enhances the flexibility of your sanding discs. This allows for smoother gliding over surfaces, making them ideal for intricate and curved surfaces.
  • Balanced Pressure Distribution: The detail sander interface pad ensures even distribution of the machine's pressure across the surface, minimizing human error. This prevents uneven pressure application and helps achieve a smooth, uniform finish by absorbing and redistributing variations in movement.
  • Effective Dust Extraction and Anti-Clogging: Designed with a 5-hole configuration, our mouse pads are optimized for superior dust extraction. This compatibility with most mouse sanding abrasive discs ensures a cleaner working environment, better finishing results, and extended lifespan for both the abrasive and the pad.
  • Durable and Heat-Resistant Material: Constructed from high-quality EVA foam, our detail sander pads are durable and heat-resistant. This ensures consistent finishing and even wear, significantly extending the lifespan of the pads. Keeping spare pads on hand is recommended to avoid work interruptions.
  • Quick and Efficient Hook & Loop Design: Featuring a hook and loop design, our mouse shaped pads allow for rapid and efficient abrasive changes, facilitating the reuse of partially used sanding discs. The hook side attaches to sanding discs, while the loop side secures the sanding machine. Each package includes 5 mouse sanding interface pads (sanding discs not included).

I ordered these because I recently purchased a detail sander and wanted some soft foam interface pads that could help with contoured surfaces. I did not expect what I found when I opened the box.Three of the five interface pads were permanently dented on the surface that interfaces with the sandpaper (see photos). While I understand that these are foam pads and not meant to be dead flat, there is no good reason for them to arrive in a practically unusable condition. For the two pads that are in good shape, I have to say that they are really nice. The foam is just the right density to hug curves while still applying decent pressure. The pads are very thick (maybe 3/8 inch) and the hook and loop pads grip stronger than the surface of my brand new sander (very impressive).Honestly, I would have given these a 5-star rating if it were not for the fact that over half of the pads had problems. They need to address their packaging and/or their QA process(es) for allowing this to happen.

I use these interface pads with my WORX 820L, Power Share Sandek 5-in-1 sander. The dust collection holes line up well between the sanders backing pad and the interface pad. The hook & loop of the interface pad held firmly to the sanders backing pad and there was no slippage or movement while in use. Likewise, with the sandpaper. The sandpaper stayed on the interface pad very well. There was no movement or flying off of the interface pad while in use. These interface pads all held very well. I didn’t see any premature wear or tear on them after use. These seem like good quality interface pads to me.I want to reiterate something I have said in other reviews of similar products. I have arthritis in my hands and while I cannot state that these interface pads will help everyone, they certainly help me. I cannot believe the positive difference these pads have made for me. I didn’t even think about the arthritis end of it when I first ordered these. I initially wanted them because I thought they would be great for irregular and rounded surfaces. I use these on all my hand sanders now and even found interface pads for my oscillating multi-tool too.One last thing. When looking for interface pads, make sure you order the correct type. Many hand detail sanders have different sized backing pads and different number of, and placement of, dust collection holes/cooling holes. The most common number of holes I have seen have 5 or 11 holes in them. The ones I ordered for my multi-tool are 3 1/2-inch pads and have 6 holes in them. The round 5-inch interface pads for orbital hand sanders usually have 8 holes in them. Just make sure you know the dimensions of the backing pads on your various hand sanders and the number of holes they have on the sanders backing pad before ordering.

I have a Ryobi cordless mouse sander that I wanted to use this with, however I did not realize before purchasing that the holes on the pads no not line up with my sander. I should've looked more closely, but still they weren't useful for my intended purpose. It is also too thick to easily cut the additional holes you need. However, I will still use them for hand sanding for the sake of not being wasteful. I have a circular sanding pad with a strap made for round sanding sheets. I stick these pads on top of that and then use a mouse sanding sheet. I will say that its still important that the sanding sheet matches the holes otherwise there is no where for the dust to go and it gummies up the sand paper very quickly.

These have great adhesion with the Velcro. They seem to be made with quality foam that is going to last. It’s not super soft and feels like it’s going to rip the first time you use it. They fit my mouse sander and perform well. I would recommend these for the value they are.

Although I have an old, corded mouse sander, I prefer using the sander attachment to my oscillating tool for its convenience and power. These pads fix firmly with the tool's hook and loop, and after sandpaper is applied to the pad everything still stays together even under the fastest speeds. These pads overhang the tool's attachment, but the hook and loop on both sides is robust enough to withstand the pressure to shake it off. Nice work. These pads also give access to more varieties and less expensive sandpaper than the smaller size dedicated to oscillating sanders. This will be useful in so many ways.

These hook and loop interface pads are about 1/2" thick, 4" wide, and 5-1/2" long. They are slightly spongy for conforming to uneven surfaces. The hook and loop texture is quite aggressive and should prove to be very durable. I am very pleased with the quality of these pads.

TPmax sanding pads are well made and durable. Interface foam pads are a good addition to sanding versatility. The Cushing allows you to sand round or irregular wood more evenly. These pads have vacuum holes punched in them that matches mouse sandpaper. The hook and loop faces are strong and attach well. The five pack is a good buy for the money
