Got these to use them as hand sanders to grab onto my hook and loop paper. While these could be attached to a sander this was my use for them. They held strong to the hook and loop paper and performed great. I use them to do my finish and fine sanding. It is nice to have a soft pad for detail sanding rather than a hard block.

I didn't even know that the cushioned pads were a thing until I saw a video of someone using them. Makes a big difference with sanding edges.

Never thought this would make that big a difference but I was surprised the foam pads neutralize some of the vibrations out that causes fatigue. Plus having that little cushion between your hand and the lumber makes flat sanding, rounding over edge and following a contour much easier than the original hard surface of the sander.

I dislike that there were no illustration regarding how to install properly. I don't think as shock absorbing and a little less flexible when sanding edges.

I recently ordered a set of "5 Holes Sander Sandpaper Backing Pads," which includes five mouse detail sanding interface pads with a hook and loop design. These triangle sanding pads are meant for replacing sander accessories while providing flexibility and balancing sanding pressure.I tend to apply too much pressure when sanding, which leaves unwanted marks. I was excited to give these cushions a try! They function like foam pads that attach to the sander, allowing you to affix your sandpaper securely.I found that these pads definitely helped, but I still need to improve my technique. I was amazed at how well the sandpaper adhered to the pad compared to my sander.

These are a little too big for my sander. I think I could probably cut them down to fit better so it's not an issue. They are soft and squishy and provide a softer sanding surface.

We just spent A LOT on foundation work at our 100-year old house. And now we're redoing our master bedroom (we had to replace the subfloor, resulting in lots more work). I have the task of sanding all of the windows, doors and trim so we can repaint the windows, doors and trim. This sandpaper fits my electric sander perfectly and come in a variety of grits to get the job done. I start with the coarse grit and then medium, until the end, when I go to fine grit.

These sanding pads work well. They help to even out the pressure applied to the part, and they conform to the surface being sanded. These ones are more squishy than the ones I've used in the past. They're soft, more sponge-like than EVA foam. This seems to help with more delicate stuff. Like the others, these new pads lack a hole at the tip. Why's that? The dust collection on my device is pretty anemic to start with, so there's not much to spare. The rest of the holes line up perfectly, though. The hook and loop on the pads is better than what is on my sander, so sandpaper stick better to the pad than it ever did to my sander. Plus, I'm glad to have something that can be easily replaced.
