Bought this to evacuate a mini split and it worked fine.4 stars because it didn't come with the bottle of oil that you see in the picture.Edit: The seller refunded some money so I could buy the oil locally.

Have tested it several times, I bought it for pulling a vacuum on a high altitude electronic altimeter test chamber and it works well for that application. I'd assume it would work well for non-professional & light duty use to evacuate air conditioning and refrigeration systems. One thing to be prepared for is oil that leaked out of the pump during shipping because the box gets turned on its slide and upside down. The pump is in a plastic bag that retains the oil and it's easily cleaned up with some paper towels or rages. It comes with a good sized bottle of oil to top off the pump. For the price you cant go wrong.
