Excellent product and price. All worked very well. Hardware, screws, concrete anchors, worked well. Appear to be solid and strong. Thank you!

These have way too tight of tolerance for getting the 4x4 into. Dimensions show they are 3.6 inches square. My 4x4’s are 3.5”, yet I had to beat the posts into them with a sledge hammer. Ridiculous that they can’t allow for another 1/8 inch of clearance. And if you ever need to pull one back off, to recut the lumber length, forget it! Once in they are almost welded in, and removal is all but impossible! Buy a different brand! Also, the mounting tabs on these bend like cardboard, way too thin! Buy a quality one instead.

The tabs that are on are extremely flimsy. They broke costing me thousands.

I bought these and then bought more. Great Product did exactly what I needed. It was a tight fit, but with a rubber mallet it was no problem. Note. It adds an extra half inch to your post because of the bottom on the inside but no big deal at all. Thank you for a great product at a good price.

Perfect product for your project. Easy to install, came fully package as described. Good price compared to what in Lowe's in home depot? A musket product for your project.

I bought the 6x6 post bases.I am building a covered structure for my RV and had 8 6x6 cedar posts that I was mounting to concrete piers. I used these metal post bases to sit on top of the concrete piers, and hold my cedar posts.Pro's:- The post bases are made of a very durable, thick metal which appears to be of very good quality.- All the welds, seams and corners were clean and of good appearance.- The post bases come with an interior, raised bottom on the inside which is very nice for allowing water to drain out and not allow the posts to rot over time. The post bases also have a very small hole in each outside corner, more of a weep hole, which allows any water that is inside to drain out.- The measurements and description of the product was spot on and correct in what I actually received.- The metal flanges on 2 sides of the exterior make it easy to mount the base wherever you plan on mounting it.- The post bases are finished in a nice even black color and the paint quality was good as well with no scratches or flaws. Gave a good appearance and showed as a quality item.Cons:- Not really sure there are any, other than the fact that they are made for "dimensional" lumber/posts. If you plan on using something from a mill or lumber yard, it will likely not fit unless trimmed down. However, this is mentioned in the seller's description, so I was aware of this beforehand. I installed true 6x6 cedar posts into these, that were 14 feet high. I had to shave about 1/2 and inch of the bottom sides of the posts so that they would fit in to the bases, but as stated, I knew I was going to have to do this prior to ordering them. Once the posts were trimmed, they fit right into the base, and fit snugly with no issues. I also had to drill out the mounting holes that were on the outside flanges to make them larger, but this was at my choice as well as I wanted to install 1/2" concrete anchors into my concrete piers. The post bases come with some screws and bolts to mount them, but I would buy some higher quality screws as I would not use the ones provided for mounting a 6x6 post as they did not seem big enough, or strong enough. I can tell you that it was not easy drilling out the 4 mounting holes on each corner to widen them for my 1/2" concrete anchors which was a good thing. The quality of the metal is very good and thick, and sufficient enough to support a 6x6 post. After mounting the bases on my concrete piers, I put 14-foot cedar posts in them, which stood very straight and firm without any wiggle or movement. I was very pleased.Would I buy these again?Definitely! Great product, and exactly as described. Everything the seller stated it was, and a heck of a lot cheaper than the leading brand of post bases.
