A porch post was starting to rot at its base, and I didn't want its replacement to suffer the same fate from direct contact with concrete. This standoff post base from Larifull seemed like a good choice so I took a chance on it. Once it arrived, I knew I had made a good choice. The coated steel is a good heavy gauge. Everything is assembled and welded cleanly and evenly, so everything is square and level. No goofs or rust or any issues that might shorten its lifespan out in the weather. I wouldn't change a thing about the design of this post base. I expect it will probably outlast the concrete pad beneath it. I'm very happy with this choice and I'd recommend this base to anyone looking for such a solution.

The brace works great and holds the post in place and is very secure. Easy to install and either screw in or nail in the post. Great buy for the money.

This base is much thicker then the sheet metal post base it replaced. I was surprised how hefty this base is. The black paint is also nicely applied with no drips and no thinned areas. This was easily installed on a concrete foundation. The base is also designed to allow drainage of water and prevent dry rot on the 4x4.

We are in the process of building a pergola and this post brackets perfectly matches the ones I already had. It's the same sold construction and the welding and paint job are consistent. It has an internal "shelf" where the post sits to keep it off the ground and out of standing water. It also arrived with a variety of installation hardware, which was a nice bonus.

Super heavy-duty deck post anchor. This one has a full base plate around the bottom with six attachment points to anchor to the ground. Nowadays, your typical 4" X 4" wooden post is actually 3.5" square. 3.5" = 3 4/8" = 3 8/16". The inside diameter of this anchor is 3 11/16" so there is 3/16" play around the post. In other words, the post sits a bit loose inside the anchor.Not a big deal once you've attached the post to the anchor using the four lag bolts included. But this may be good to know if your post is larger than 3.5". The kit also includes six expansion bolts for anchoring in concrete.The anchor is designed so the post doesn't make contact with the ground and water can drain. This is a good design as two of the posts on my porch have rotted out because they are in direct contact with the wooden deck and I have to replace them.

This post base is well made and sturdy. The bends and welds are well done and it has an attractive satin black finish. The paint has a slightly different texture in different places, but it will not be noticeable when it's at the base of a post. It arrived with no scratches. The holes are in good locations. It came with mounting hardware for use on a wood deck or concrete. I especially like that this base holds the post about 5/8 inches above the surface it's mounted on. This will keep the post drier and it won't be as likely to rot. I'm really glad to have this.

Thick steel, heavy duty. well made. Fits a 4x4 post. Comes with Hardware for both concrete or wood applications. Has built in drainage holes and a lift to keep the post off the ground.
