I’ve tried many brands (Cookin Pellets, B&B, Lumberjack, Bear Mountain, Traeger, Royal Oak and more) of pellets and these are the first ones that actually smelled like something other than IKEA furniture when you opened the bag. When pouring them into the hopper they have a strong odor of plum. Cooked a pork shoulder with them and the color and smoke ring were great. Slightly smoky sweet taste was very good. Do they produce a stick burner quality taste? Nope but due to the heat in a pellet grill firebox no pellet grill does or ever will. However these are a step above other pellets I have tried. I’ll leave up to you to decide if the price is worth it to you, it is for me.
