I ordered the “4" Wire Wheel Brush for Angle Grinder, 2PCS Twisted Knotted Wire Brush for Grinder 5/8 Inch-11 Threaded Arbor, WENHUALI 0.02" Carbon Steel Angle Grinder Wire Wheel” to review and to use with a new angle grinder for metal de-rusting. I like how sturdy they look and feel. I also like how well they respond to medium to heavy duty grinding demands. Best of all, the price-to-quality ratio makes these a must buy. Both of these brushes are great. I got them to clean my rusted truck frame, and they worked amazing. The knotted brush was powerful enough to even remove the rust scales. I used them on a 4.5” grinder, installation took 5 seconds. Both of the brushes lasted just enough to finish my project, i used them hard. There are a couple of things to be aware of. Wear protective equipment, and not just eye protection. The wire strands brake off constantly, and have enough force to penetrate light clothing and skin behind it. Ive pulled multiple strands out of my skin. Also, be aware of the kickback, it can injure you also. Use a guard on your grinder if possible, wear thick gloves and a face shield. It was no fun pulling pieces of metal out of my face. But as long as you use these in a safe manner, they are great at what they’re designed to do

These were for my husband to use on his angle grinder. He does a lot of metal cleaning as far as Rust and paint removal from metal that he will use to weld sculptures. He said they fit fine and his Dewalt angle grinder. They’re not super high quality as you can see in the pictures. The one has a wire that never got cut and the twisted one was not evenly spaced but you can push it around to make it equal. For the price though they’re not bad.

These Wire Wheel Brush work well on your Angle Grinder. They are not designed to work on a drill or an impact wrench. Pay careful attention to the size - while most American angle grinders have a 5/8", 11 threads/inch spindle, not all are and these will not work with a non-standard spindle.I used them to clean the rust off an old pair of hedge clippers. The combination of the tough wire brush and the angle grinder’s speed made short work of the rust and other corrosion. It left no visible scratches like some wire wheels can, just a very soft glow. At the end of my work, I saw no visible wear on the wire brush - I suspect I get to use these many times before they wear out.Overall, really good, particularly for the price.

I used these to remove paint over spray on some textured brick on my house that a pressure washer just couldn't tackle. The fine wire brush worked very well to remove much of the over spray without causing any collateral damage to the brick. Considering some of the wires were sticking out and mangled upon delivery, I was happy to see that they were just missed in trimming at the factory. It managed to retain the bristles well in use.The knotted brush is too aggressive for this task. It's built well and does nice work cleaning off rust. I even used it to take care of some weeds between my patio pavers (it works great for this).Both appear to be well made, comparable to my other big box purchases and should last an average amount of time compared with other similarly priced options out there (see Harbor Freight).

There are many bent wires that were not properly trimmed to length. If these are not cut before use they will straighten out and can hit and damage ones hand. I wouldn't recommend these wheels.

These are good quality wire wheels that work great on my right angle grinder. Most importantly is to use a face shield in addition to safety classes because like all wire wheels, they’ll throw off wire pieces in use. The twisted wire course brush is great for removing heavy rust and the straight wire brush leaves a nice finish after cleanup. This is a good buy

I have been using this quite a bit, and they are still in one piece. Well, they have lost a few wires, but they still are mostly there. They didn't appear to be the highest quality when I first got them, so I was a little bit gentle with them at first. After they didn't explode, I ended up abusing them like any other wire wheel I own. They have held up just fine.They strip paint great. If you are going to have these spinning around at insane RPM on an angle grinder, do it with the guard in place. It will occasionally launch a wire, and you don't want it to be launched at you. Definitely wear eye protection.
