I got these to attach my ottoman firmly to the corner of my couch, so the end seat is like a mini bed. This worked out fine and I have no concerns about the ottoman coming loose. Note that this does make vacuuming a bit more tricky as you can't move the ottoman out of the way, and lifting the couch is more challenging too, but that's pretty much to be expected. It works as expected and I'm happy with the result.

I didn't even know they made such a thing until I ran across this by accident. I have a patio "sofa" that comes in 3 pieces. In my existing sofa there is supposed to be a built it mechanism that keeps the seats tight together but it does not work at ALL. So I thought I would try there. It's actually pretty logical, they are just like carpenter clamps but smaller. Since it's under and up inside the couch you can't see them so not an issue. They open wide which is good because the wood pieces are on the wider side. The couch hasn't moved since I attached these and they have stayed tight.
