Some of the heat waves this summer have been absolutely brutal, and just my luck I'm currently stationed on a job outside.Adding this to my hardhat was a total lifesaver. The coverage of the brim is great and keeps the sun out of my eyes and my face from getting burnt. The mesh neck guard does wonders for keeping the back of my head cool, but still allows air to flow and breathe.The reflective strip works well and adds an extra touch of safety which is always a plus. I love that they fold up nice and compact so I can stick them in my bag and have at the ready any time. Being a 4 pack is great as I've let a few guys borrow them and everyone has loved it, definitely going to be a few sets purchased between everyone and soon enough I think everyone on the job will be wearing one.

These high visibility brim extensions for a hard hat, and the neck sunshield are an absolute lifesaver in working outdoors especially in high summer. Sunscreen helps, but this shade and mesh not only keep you from burning, they will keep you cooler as well.The base is wire, with lightweight material and so they can fold up quite small. Could stow in a toolbox or a glove box without any problem.Although only time will tell, the light weight and stow-ability may mean they wear out a little faster than something more robust. If that DOES happen, we will amend this review.

I had the sun shade that only blocks the neck and sides. It had elastic that stretched around the brim. The elastic became worn out after a few washes. This type has pockets that fit around the front and back edges. It stays put much better and it gives you a wide all around brim to provide more sun protection. There are velcro straps for some types.of hardhats but they are not necessary to keep the sun shade in place. I also like that you can take it off and fold it to pocket sized again and it has a self contained pouch.

Used this while working on some outdoor lighting to a landscape. The tail could be a bit longer I feel like, at times when crouching or looking straight down it felt like it went off to the side and exposed a little bit of your neck. It held in place well, it holds onto the brim and also with velcro through the clips which I know will wear out over time. It comes with its own little storage sack.

The sun shade comes in a neat little pouch (white in color) that is sewn in (see pictures) and makes a handy little storage pouch when not in use. The pouch didn't get in my way while using this on the job either. It fit my hard hat perfectly and it has a pouch for the visor on the hard hat to fit into. This visor pouch combined with the velcro straps that feed through the side slots on the hat provides a secure installation that stays put. the shade on the back is just the right length to touch your shoulders and keep the sun from beating down on your neck. The wide brim of this sun shade provides good all around coverage without being too large (think sombrero). Plus you get 4 of them in the pack so you have spares to share if you like.

These hard hat visors work great. It keeps the sun out of my face and my neck. My hard hat is different so the installation took a little longer, like 15mins, but it fits well. It does not add weight to your hard hat. As long as your not throwing it around or it's sliding around in the back of a truck it should last at least a year. For what it is and the material I'd say it is durable. To clean it's pretty easy as well I just hose it down, if you have some stubborn stains you can put a little bit of dawn, I just scrub it with my hands to not wear off the material.
