Main product is good, but the screws to secure the wooden posts to the brackets rust at the first rain and only hardware to anchor the brackets to concrete are included, so if you need to anchor them to a wooden deck, you need to buy the proper screws separately.

A few years ago I had a roof installed over my porch. The contractor must have used the cheapest post anchors available and I'm starting to see some issues. I can see discoloring at the bottom of the posts due to water getting on the concrete and wicking up through the post end grain. This is for sure going to cause the wood to rot. I ordered the 4×4 Post Base 4 pack. I know there are galvanized post anchors that have the same space between the post and concrete, but they would look worse than the current anchors. These bases have a great design and a great finish. The area at the bottom that will keep the posts from resting directly on the concrete is pretty substantial. These acncors are solid and well built. They will allow air to circulate and evaporate water rather than the wood soaking it up and they reallyu add a finished look. These will be so much better.
