Long lasting and works great. Just as good as the name brands.

Belts cut well and the seams are reasonably smooth so you don't get the dreaded knocking when the seam rolls past your workpiece. I've been running them fairly hard doing small knives in 1084 and alabama Damascus billets...yes I need a bigger grinder lol but 1x30 does work for smaller knives and I have no complaints on these belts.

These belts work extremely well. I have now used them on several projects. I can now admit that I like the abrasives very well. They fit my belt sander with no slack, and they make my work so much easier. I can definitely recommend these belts!

Good sanding belts, fit my sander fine. Just got a new sander to replace one broken in our latest house move, and these fit. Grit is fine, belt works, is sized right. You get what you pay for in sanding materials like this, so I am not expecting a belt that will last forever. But, I do a lot of rough sanding, on medium and small pieces, and I swap between wood, plastic and metal, and these will work fine. And when I wear out the grit, the next belt is ready to go, easy swap and get back to work. They will give me far more time and value than the cost, I am sure.

I love these belts. I do a lot of woodworking and go through these fairly quickly. These seemed to have lasted a bit longer than the other no-name brands I've purchased. I also a the rubber cleaning stick which greatly extends the life of any sand paper type material. The seam seems to be flat. I've bought belts before where the seam stuck up and made gouges on the wood. No issues with that here. I wish I could find a pack that has like 10 of each grit from 40 up to 3000. I'd be willing to spend the extra money on a combo pack like that just to avoid having a mix and match of different brands. If you're thinking of purchasing, feel confident that you're getting good belts for a good price.

Short – belt width:When I compared these to my existing belts, they seemed a bit narrow. After measuring it turns out they are 15/16-inch instead of the full 1-inch (see image). I don’t think this will affect my using these, but this equals a roughly 6% reduction in sanding surface.Tight – Installing the belt:I’ve been using the same Harbor Freight belt sander for years. This is the first time I’ve had difficulty putting a new belt on the sander. It seems the circumference may be slightly less than 30-inches, but that would be too difficult to measure unless I cut one of the belts and laid it flat to measure. Even at with the adjustment knob loosened all the way, I had a tough time getting the belt over all three wheels. In the end, I had to just barely get it an 1/8-inch on two wheels and then try to do the same on the third wheel without it slipping off the other two wheels. I got it after a couple tries.Loose – the seam:The seam on these seems much looser than on belts I’ve used in the past. When held up to a light, you can see a good size gap (see image). Given the tightness I experienced when installing the belt, I was worried that the loose seam would give way while using it.Test results - PASS:Despite the above concerns, I put the belt to work. It sanded through some wood and metal voraciously. Afterwards, I inspected the belt for damage, and it appeared that there was none. I have a tough time deducting stars from a review unless warranted. Since I know I’m using a cheaper brand of belt sander, I won’t deduct for the difficulty I had with installing the belt. However, I’ve deducted for the width not being as advertised and for the gap in the seams. If the belts break prematurely, I’ll certainly return to reclaim another star.

I got these to replace some old aluminum oxide belts that had been stored in the garage for over 5 years. When I went to use them they literally fell apart at the glue joint when I picked them up. They were from a reputable brand so I concluded that the way you store these can certainly affect the glue / tape connection. As expected, these Zirconia belts cut much better than the aluminum oxide, especially on metal. I did some initial testing on steel, aluminum and wood. Breaking edges, rounding corners etc. in the 120 and 100 grits. The belts ran extremely smooth, ran very true and cut extremely well. There was no initial shedding of grit in these sizes. I would give the belts themselves a 5 star rating baed on the somewhat limited use. The reason for the 1 star reduction is only because I cannot see using anything more course than 100 grit on an inexpensive HF 1" machine so the courser grits will never be used. Maybe the assortment could be adjusted to include more of the finer grits especially in the narrow 1" width.
