This item, when attached to another device called a sander, removes material. Over time this item wears out and stops removing material.

This is the second time I have ordered these for my husband. The variety is great, the quality is exceptional and they arrived next day. He is happy :)

With a pack of 6 belts costing 10 dollars or more at any hardware or tool store. I got 50 of these belts for 20.I bought the 60 grit for grinding welds and yes these belts do shred and dull out pretty quick. Quite frankly make sure you do wear safety glasses because stuff flies off. That doesnt make this a bad product. I would blow through a pack of expensive multi grit belts just as fast as i went through 5 of these. Overall im satisfied.

So far used one to remove bandsaw cuts to one side of three (3) pecan 10 inch diameter log cutoffs at a 3/4" thickness. The 80 grit removed the machine cutting marks and smoothed the end grain with practically no apparent loss of abrasive material. I would buy again if needed but looks like these will take care of my needs until the joining adhesive gives out due to whatever its storage life may be. The belts after that will still work as bulk sand paper for a palm sander or lathe work rough sanding.
