I order these all the time for my laser business. In the past they've been great for the price, high quality, and while they're not true to size (slightly smaller than 16x16 and varying thickness between 2.6-2.8mm), they've been suitable for what I use them for. However...I'm not sure if they changed suppliers, or what, but in the past three orders of them, almost every single sheet has had large seams and grooves that cut across the entire sheet and the wood grain pattern is completely different from one side of the seam to the other. It almost looks like they've just been putting different pieces together to make a full 16x16 sheet. Most all of my projects that I use these for use the entire sheet, so these grooves that cut through and the drastically different wood grains ruin the entire look of the project. The grooves themselves can't even be sanded down as they cut deeply into the sheets. In a set of 36, I have only maybe 5 or 6 now that are smooth and consistent grain throughout the sheet and the rest are only usable for scrap or smaller projects. Super disappointed in this huge drop in quality because I've used these for a long time for my laser business and now I'll have to look elsewhere.

These sheets came wrapped well in a corrugated box. No damage and all the wood sheets were straight and flat. I thought the price was exceptional and I will definitely order them again.

This wood is decent quality when I purchased this back in March 2024. Very few knots in it if any. The wood will easily warp so be sure you stack it vertically so it does not get crushed in the center and warp the edges. Stacking it flat with something heavy on top basically will make sure the fibers get crushed and guarantee warping. The thing to realize here while it’s advertised as 16”x16” it is actually cut in mm (400mmx400mm = 15.748”). You won’t find any hobby wood at 16x16” ever. They don’t cut them that way. If you do then it’ll be too big for most lasers. While it is smaller it is cut to the appropriate size and all wood is cut uniformly. This is actually basswood and not some fake Baltic birch either. I’ve bought others the claim to be basswood and ends up being Baltic birch which throws off my laser settings.Stored properly this wood is good. Not perfect but it could be a lot worse.

I bought this with the Creality 10W laser during the Prime sale because I got the laser cutter for the price of the laser. The sample board that came with the laser was 2mm thick and I was amazed how well it cut out the sample eagle that came with the cutter. I bought this pack of 3mm thinking it would be a little sturdier and most of the models I wanted to cut out were based on 3mm basswood. I really like this material. First, I hate reading reviews, seeing things cut out and no one giving the parameters of the laser so here it is:For the house I used 80% power and three engraving speeds (for darker and lighter lines) 7, 10, and 15 mm/sec. I cut at 100% power and 3mm/sec with 2 passes. For the Galactica model I used 80% and 10mm/sec for engraving and 100%, 3mm/sec to cut. The engraving was set too high. Should have used about 20mm/sec.I couldn't get the laser to go all the way through in one pass like it did with the 2mm basswood. I have an air assist module coming and I hope that allows for even better cutting. Even so, the windows on the house left only a small line of wood between them but they are smooth and rigid. I was super impressed with how the wood held up.All of mine were packed really well (almost too well, the tape they used was a bear to get off the outer bag. All pieces were flat and smooth and fairly uniform in texture. The actual dimensions are 150mm x 150mm x 2.75mm.I'm super satisfied with the quality and will be purchasing more from this seller.

If you have a laser cutter/burner with a small axis larger than 12", you are at the next level above the Glowforge and look-alikes. You KNOW that making items where the short dimension is larger than 12" gives you a huge jump in profit margin. By using these 16"x16" sheets you can make products that the hobby/desk-top machines can not. At this thickness (1/8 inch), I can cut right at 30mm per second with an 80W CO2 throttled back to 70% of rated amps. So that's the business side of things. As to quality: this brand is providing GREAT stock. Minimal number of micro-knots and micro cracks. Out of 36 pieces, I only got 2 where both sides have enough blemishes I would not use for the top layers in my projects. This is more than acceptable with a natural product. The sheets have NO warping as received. I work with all water-based stains, acrylic paints, and polyurethane and polyacrylic finishes. Understandably, with these sheets being 1/8" thick, some warping/rolling will occur after applying these water based products. BUT, it is minimal and easy to deal with on the laser work-bed given that the sheets are so thin to begin with.
