We have a Vevor refrigerant recovery machine that came with a very small filter drier. Filter driers are used within HVAC systems to ensure moisture is removed from refrigerant. Moisture is bad because it works against the refrigerant and can cause major system issues from the acid that forms. In any case, a filter drier is usually brazed/attached to an HVAC system after it is opened up for servicing or in this case used to protect a refrigerant recovery machine and to ensure the refrigerant is dry as it is removed from the HVAC system. This is a huge filter drier with a whopping capacity of drying up to 300 pounds of refrigerant which is a really good value. The only nit is due to the large size it won't be as portable as some of the smaller units out there and you'll need to take care to seal it up after using it as moisture from the atmosphere could get into the unit if it is not used with any great regularity. Overall I'd rate it 4/5 stars for having a pretty good value for the amount of refrigerant that it will process.
