I read other reviews and was worried about soldering. Saw another reviewer's idea to use connectors (as pictured). Using that idea, I used "solder & seal wire connectors" and a heat gun. It worked perfectly!! The other reviewer used AWG 22-18, but I went smaller. I used AWG 26-24 white (0.25-0.34 mm2) which gave a nice tight connection. Plugged in the charger after the new soldering connections cooled and the battery was at 70%. AGAIN, don't shy away because of soldering. It's worth it to try the "solder & seal connectors" which are very cheep and very easy to use!

The battery was an exact replacement for the original battery and worked well after installation. I took the recommendation of one other reviewer and ordered a pack of solder and seal connectors. This made the job very simple compared to having to cut strip and solder each individual wire while avoiding any short-circuits. Carefully cut the old battery out one wire at a time as close to the battery as is practical and do not let the wires touch each other. Once you pass that point the rest is easy. Strip the wires slip on the solder and seal connectors couple of minutes with a heat gun and you're good to go. Be careful routing the wires when reinstalling the battery, first time I put it in one of the wires was touching the passive diaphragm on the back of the speaker and cause the sound to distort. Had to pull the battery back out and route the wire away from that part of the speaker, second time was a charm.

Old battery didn’t charge and speaker was too good to toss. This gave it a new life. I just cut the wires and soldered the new battery into them in the same order. Used it for 6 hours first day after fully charging and it was still at 60%! So, yeah, its fantastic. Worth the purchase if you love your Bose. Dont toss it, FIX IT!

Like many have commented here already, this was not the easiest battery to install unless one is handy with a soldering iron. I did as many suggested and soldered wire to wire instead or trying to solder to the board. Finished in under 30 min and the battery already had 70% charge. I fully charged the battery and have had the speaker running most of the day. I am very pleased that I have my wireless speaker wireless again and time will tell how long this lasts.

Precise perfect fit.DOA - Battery arrived with no charge at all so the Bose mini would not recognize it. I was going to rig a charger but there is no wiring diagram so didn't want to risk.Difficult to install - Because Bose does not provide a quick connect you need to be good with soldering.

It’s a good battery replacement, but it’s not perfect. The rubber bottom cover does not seal as good as the original battery. It is loose and can easily come off. The original battery connection is soldered in to the chip. This replacement battery is also meant to be soldered in replacement. I’m not about ready to go buy a soldering gun and learn how to solder. So I cut the original battery wires at full length for slack. I then used my electrical heat shrink butt connectors inplace to create a connection, and it works!

I was excited to try and revive my Bose speaker. Disassembly was a bit concerning as you pry the speaker cover out. It distorts easily but likely goes back in without too much evidence it was removed. Once apart, the battery is easy enough to remove. You do need to fully disassemble the speaker if you are attempting to desolder the cable. I too was not confident in trying to solder the board. I too cut the cable one cable at a time to make sure I didn't short it by cutting through. Just in case, staggering the cuts. I was pleased that I got it soldered and shrink wrapped and ready for testing. Sadly, the battery would not take a charge. I used the volt meter and it was reading only a few volts. It wouldn't take a charge. I tried a few tricks such as applying some heat to hopefully give it enough juice to hit the cutoff threashold. Nope. Even more concerning was the DOA return policy. I thought Amazon had free returns, but in this case, the seller asked for the battery to be sent back at my expense prior to authorizing my refund. $15 to ship it back. The reseller/amazon refunded my money without proof I sent it in. I did include photos of it being shipped. In my opinion, the battery likely was sitting for a long time before getting to me, and lost it's charge and the Bose would not recognize it as within range for charging. Unfortunately, without a return refund policy, it seems this is a lottery to get a good battery. If there was a refund free return, it would be worth the risk. Otherwise, I would not risk it given the hassle to install it to find out it's dead. Check the voltage before you start disassembly in my uncertified opinion.

Item cable came in a condition that every time I tried to make a solder, it just broke. Maybe I just got a dud this time.
