I used this mat on my back deck door. The dogs go in and out there and it makes for a safe environment. I don't worry about the dogs sliding on ice and getting injured. Easy to install very functional.

These mats have worked really well. We used them to provide an oath through the snow to our birdfeeder. We really appreciate them.

The only thing bad about this is that the plug is huge! It’s also short.

The description of this mat is inaccurate. It shows a 210w of electric consumption. It actually uses 1200w which is considerably higher than other manufacturers. I ordered two to cover my front porch. These are thick and don’t lay flat my exterior storm door is 1” above the porch and it hits the mat every time I opened it. You also can’t link two of these together. The combined wattage of 2400w was to much for my exterior gfi and just way to much energy to melt snow with current electric rates. I found another brand on here for the same size mats that are 600w a piece for a combined 1200w. They are thin and lay flat and can be linked together. I went with Toriexon Snow Melting Mats and so far am happy with how they lay flat and the energy consumption.

Installed on a wooden wheelchair ramp. The power cord is in the middle of one of the 40 1/2" sides of the mat. I was able to remove a ramp board, and drop the cord down through the opening. The mat is quite heavy, and it comes rolled up. Maybe the creases will lay flat with time. Waiting for some cold weather to test the heat function.

So recently picked up this item as I live in a state with typical heavy winters. When there is snow and ice it is the responsibility of the land owner to clear snow and ice from the path to your mailbox. Well I got this heated mat specifically so I could ensure the postal carrier can always get to my mailbox. The mat has a connector to it and I run the cord into my garage. So far there's not been feet of snow but we did have a couple nights where I plugged it in just in case and was pleasantly happy to see that there was no ice or snow buildup on or even around the mat. So far looks like it works great. It's a tremendous value to me as in the winter if you aren't leaving every day this will help to make sure at least there is a clear path to my mailbox. Really easy to set up. If you have winter where you live i highly recommend this item.
