These are garbage. The fuse insulators should be made of a high heat ceramic, they’re made of some junk plastic which melts and collapses. Fuse didn’t blow, filament intact, but connection was lost when the insulator melted. Note the ruined white fuses upper left in the kit. Great idea, bad product.

I put these in my 1984 300SD to replace the old (original?) fuses, expecting that copper fuses would function better. WIthin a day one of the 25A blue fuses melted, and I had to replace it with one of the original ones (which continues to work fine). These are plastic, and so they melt when they get hot, which is what happened in my case; the copper element had not fused, but the plastic carrier melted. Junk.

The fuses are not bakelite. they are a soft plastic.

To add to my previous review. These are stated to be Bakelite fuse bodies. Must be a very low temperature Bakelite because they melt just like plastic. Really overpriced for what is delivered.

The ends are too flat to work properly in European fuse holders. In the photograph the one at the top is the correct profile. The bottom is the product. The difference is slight but makes a difference between working and not.

I ordered it because I needed a fuse puller for the European style fuses for a vintage car. However, the fuse puller included is useless, it does not fit the fuses in the box, it is for Glass and Spade fuses. Why someone would include this type of puller is beyond me, total nonsense. The fuses are OK and are what I wanted, nicely packed in a small plastic box, so that is OK, but the tool ???
