The tambourine is of excellent quality. The maracas is too fragile. In fact, one of them had a crack in the middle along the line in the middle where it is glued and the sound was ruined from the first day we received the items. It's a yes for the tambourine and a big no for the maracas if you are looking for something durable.

This is a good-sized tambourine that makes a good, clear, bright sound. It fits in the hand well and is easy to shake or hit on a palm. The maracas are a little undersized, and don't make a very big sound, at least not nearly as loud as my 20 year-old set from South America. Overall a good tambourine and an okay set of maracas.

The tambourine is nicely made and very sturdy. The sound is pleasant though it could be a little louder. The maracas are solidly made as well. They have a nice sound as well. At the current price of $13.99 these are a steal.
