They seem to have "plastic dipped" the parts, filled the screw holes and re drilled them. Mine came with some off centered drilled holes. As long as the film of plastic coat they put on it is not too thick it should work. I don't know how long it will last but is should be good for a while. I spray painted mine with a coat of acrylic base paint just in case. The rubber gaskets are good. for the price is not a bad investment.

I must admit, I do not take out manhole covers every time I’m done boating. I have gotten burned twice now where I had to remove and couldn’t get them back in. New ones are a perfect fit and glide in very easily. I now keep an extra pair on the boat just in case I have to change while out on the water. Only need a Phillips head screw driver and a little over 5 minutes to swap one out. For the price, highly recommend keeping an extra set on your Yamaha.

Unfortunately, these don’t fit 2017 or newer even though they use the model number that would. Not Yamaha OEM.

This rebuild kit is easy to install. They fit the clean out plugs perfectly on my 2008 Yamaha 212x. It's just eight screws to remove and replace. Recommend that you do the replacement on shore. There is a tiny spring that might pop out when you take it apart.The plugs are now much easier to lock into place and there is no more water sitting on top of them after you go out for a ride.
