Metal is much thinner gauge than it looks in the listing. Two of them got pretty mangled up just by hammering them into fairly hard soil, and I only used a 3 pound sledge. Don't look like they are going to hold up to much of a wind. And not really adjustable, so if you don't hammer them in _exactly plumb, your post will be out of plumb. All in all, I'd suggest another option. I'd return them if they weren't stuck in the ground.

One post on my 12 year old fence was causing concern . Think it'd cracked. Got a quote for replace 400 or repair 300 . Looked at this and thought I'd take a look at what was available. Next day I'm happy with the results , simple process and solid repair . Hope that it lasts .

Easy dyi if you know some basics. If you installed the two metal pieces correctly, you should see 4 screw bottoms that you can lean a 2x4 on, now you hit the 2x4 with a sledge hammer and that will easily set this device. Never hit meal with a metal hammer if you can avoid it, and you can here. Now, tip #2 this device will not by itself hold a post up on a 6ft fence, you know this right away because the rule is 1/3 the fence must be under ground, so a 6 ft fence would require 24 inches below ground level, plus that needs to be set in concrete. So 15 inches under ground set in soil simply will not work. However, there are some work arounds, apply an endo skeleton (2 x 4 lag bolted to two outside posts plus failed post) and if the two farther posts are still good, this will work. Not even concrete would work unless it was tied into deep concrete of failed post. I will try and get pics up.If someone was smart, the best way to use this is on install of wood posts, but hard to justify the cost at that point, but if done that way in fence post concrete, those posts will last nearly 100 years. The two lengths of this product is about 3 soda cans high each section, gives you scale. High quality product, just not for 6 ft fence unless you can work around or tie it into fence post concrete. Cement drill and rebar, you are good.
