Rich, Sweet and Complex; a Medium to Full Body with a very Smooth Cocoa Toned Finish & Low Acidity

2 LB Don Pablo Signature Blend - Whole Bean Coffee

2 LB Don Pablo Signature Blend - Whole Bean Coffee

Blended for taste, each of these coffees, Colombia, Guatemala, and Brazil, have distinct body characters making the coffee more complex in the cup than a single origin varietal. The taste is sweet and well integrated and the body medium to full. The finish is cocoa-toned and very smooth with low acidity.

The slight caramelization of the natural sugars in the bean give this Medium-Dark coffee a touch of roastiness, while it still retains its natural flavor character, giving it a sweet, pleasant aftertaste. 100% Arabica Whole Bean Coffee, GMO Free. Comes in a handy resealable bag!

*Signature Blend Specialty Coffee is available in 2 or 5 LB bags, and also Single Serve Cups!

How to brew the perfect cup of don pablo coffee:

How to brew the perfect cup of coffee:

Traditional Drip Machine: Add one level to slightly rounded measuring tablespoon (10g) of finely ground coffee (fine granular sand, not yet a powder) to each six ounce cup of water (177 ml)

Hand Drip Method: Add 8-10 grams of medium-fine ground coffee per cup. Heat water to 190-195 degrees, (88-90.5 c) pre-soak grounds, slowly add water in a clockwise motion. Adjust to taste.

French Press: Add 1-2 measuring tablespoons (10-20g) of coarse ground coffee per cup (177ml) of water and adjust to taste. Never add boiling water.

Cold Brew: Steep equal amounts of coarse ground coffee and filtered water in a covered container for 12-24 hours, strain coffee out and use cheesecloth or a paper coffee filter to remove leftover grounds. Add water to taste.

What makes Cafe Don Pablo Specialty Coffees the Best?

Our Family Ties
We have relationships at the point of origin that give us a dedicated source of supply of the finest Arabica beans available. We grow, pick, and process our own coffee beans in Colombia and manage the production of over 1,000,000 coffee trees in South America through our Sharing Certified Program. We never blend our coffees with Robusta, past crop, or defective beans. We have an on staff Q Grader who ensures the quality of every bean we roast. Our roasting facility is Food Safety Certified, and Certified for Organic Production.

The Art of Roasting
We slow roast our special beans in small batches to ensure they reach optimum flavor. Our loyal customers wouldn’t have it any other way. We found people who really appreciate a great cup of rich, aromatic, coffee can taste the difference between our fresh, properly roasted beans, and others that are roasted by the metric ton and sold by huge corporations. We roast in multiple small batch coffee roasters in a process that is half art and half science. We artisan roast by sight, smell, and sound to assure that the natural sugars in the bean are being caramelized just right!

Freshness is Everything!
Besides the finest quality Arabica beans and artisan roasting, another secret to great tasting coffee is freshness. The shorter the time from the roaster to your cup, the better the coffee tastes. We accomplish maximum freshness by roasting to order, instead of on a production schedule like our competitors. We roast to order in regional small batch roasting facilities in the U.S. You can smell the difference! Make your coffee as strong or as mild as you like by adjusting the ratio of coffee to water. Cafe Don Pablo coffees are always rich, smooth and delicious!

This coffee smells great even still in the bag. Low acidity and great taste. It is the best coffee I’ve ever bought.

I am pretty particular when it comes to my coffee beans. Normally I would opt for Costa Rican bans, medium dark roasted. When I could no longer get them from my usual supplier I tried another brand which was terrible. So, I thought I would try this blend. While there isn't a Costa Rican bean anywhere in sight, the blend is still pretty good. The beans have a nice shine from essential oils, and there are very few fillers in the bag, which mean the beans grind up evenly. I liked the flavor so I'll keep using this until my regular brand of bean comes available again. Good enough to recommend to others.

By far this is one of the nicest coffees I've ever tasted. The flavour is wonderfully rich, bold and intense and yet it offers the user many different levels of subtle flavours, leaving you wondering and trying to identify the beautiful blend of coffee aromas! It has easily become my favourite morning chore, to stand and grind the coffee beans, releasing the smell that's become identifiable to the start of my every day... Truly a superb Coffee experience !!!

Admittedly, I have only ever used these coffee beans to make my cold brewed iced coffee, so I can't attest to the experience when prepared hot. That being said, I originally tried this product because I was looking for decent priced coffee beans in bulk, and absolutely fell in love with the flavor.I'm in law enforcement, so I drink coffee like it's going out of style. I'm fickle about my coffee. I work 90+ hours a week, so coffee is basically breath to me. After partaking of the swill that ends up in the breakroom coffee pot, I reverted back to brewing my own at home, and with my multiple 16 hour shifts, cold brewing became my choice of brewing to have enough coffee to last me through my shifts.But... cold brewing gets expensive. It takes more grounds to seep and cold brew coffee than it does to make a simple pot of coffee. I discovered Don Pablo when I was searching for bulk beans. I fell in love after the first shipment.I've experienced a wide range of coffee styles. My Dad was a truck driver, I owned a restaurant, and I've worked for millionaire construction contractors. Three industries of "how's the coffee?". Don Pablo has been my go-to since I discovered it.The packaging is superb. I typically order a 5-pound bag of roasted whole beans that typically lasts me almost 2 months. The resealable bag keeps the beans as oily and glossy from the first day I open it to the last. It's all about the oils. If your beans are dry, you lost the game. The flavor is robust, yet very smooth, not overpowering or bitter. I grind the medium roast. I prefer medium roast when I brew hot, but the Don Pablo medium-dark is perfect for my cold brew. It's smooth, not brackish. I ran out of Don Pablo a while back. I bought a few bags of different roasts of beans from different stores, just to get by until my shipment arrived. The roasts I bought at the Box Stores were bland, dry, and had off-flavors. Now they're just sitting in my coffee cabinet, waiting for me to unload them when a fair-weather friend comes to visit and I can get rid of those subpar beans.I probably wouldn't write such an intricate review if it weren't for that fact that I drink Don Pablo every day and it's become a part of my day. Seven days a week. I cold-brew Don Pablo twice a week, to get me through a work week, that I drink over a 12-cup pot of it every day. I cold brew it, throw it over ice, and it's robust enough to last through a 16-hour shift in my thermos and be as good to the last drop as it was from the first.

Edit- May 28, 2020After reviewing my Amazon Order history, I saw that this month is the 3 year anniversary from our first purchase of Don Pablo coffee beans. We have been enjoying the delicious medium-dark roast of their Signature Blend exclusively for three years now. The beans always arrive very fresh and aromatic. They are a rich dark roast that is not over roasted and burnt (as in the *bucks beans). We use a Saeco super-automatic machine and the Don Pablo beans are not oily at all and they work very well with the machine. Not many products can continue to be produced for years maintaining excellent quality, but Don Pablo does it on every single order.EDIT 1- May 2018: As this is part of my Prime Subscription, I have now received Don Pablo beans for about a year. All I can say is that this is the best coffee for the $ you can buy. I've had a lot of other beans that are 3 or 4 times the price, but they sure are not 3 or 4 times the quality. These beans are very tasty and when you go through a lot of coffee, they won't require a bank loan to pay for them.Original Review:I'm not sure what I expected when ordering some really cheap coffee. But I was happily surprised that this is not cheapo convenience store battery acid coffee. This is a nice medium body coffee with great aroma and very low acid. It makes a fine cup of coffee or lighter espresso. For the money, you would be hard pressed to find a better coffee bean.

As with the decaffeinated coffee from Burke Brands, this Signature Blend whole bean coffee is an instant hit!Using 100% Arabica beans this S.Blend has the full aroma of roasted beans once the package is opened. The beans are not as dark as I saw with the decaf by Burke, more a medium roast. The blend is Columbia, Guatemala and Brazilian coffee. Tasting gives a full bodied, low acid flavour which to me is key. Once again, as I mentioned in previous reviews, I really am fond of the smaller "family run" small batch product such as this. The results speak for themselves. Value for the money is an added plus with Burke Brands LLC in that a gourmet level coffee is available at this price.Recommended!
