Green light came on automatically whenever I plugged this in. However, I thought the charger was the problem with my vacuum and it wasn't. I'm pretty sure it needs a new battery pack, so now I'll have to order that. If my battery pack was able to be charged. I'm sure that this would have worked great. Without any other issues. I've had my vacuum for a long time thought maybe the old charger was an issue. Turns out it's something with the vacuum itself Or the battery pack.

I finally found a workable charger for a cordless vac that shipped without one (not Shark). The vac vendor showed little interest in correcting the error, so I handled it. This charger works fine and I now have a functional vac for light jobs.
